By default, the MetaMask plugin installation supports the ETH main chain wallet. If you want to use the Filecoin ecosystem, you need to add the network.Currently, there are two ways to do this:
The first way is to add the main chain information manually to MetaMask.
The second way is to automatically add the main chain information through the official website fil.kinghash.com.
Here are the steps to manually add the FIL chain to MetaMask:
Click on "Extensions" and open the "MetaMask" extension
Switch the network in "MetaMask" setting
Select "Add Network"
Select "Manually add a network"
Configure the Filecoin-EVM network
Network name: Filecoin-mainnet
Added RPC URL: https://api.node.glif.io/rpc/v1
Chain ID: 314
Symbol: FIL
Block Manager URL: https://filfox.info/en
After saving, "MetaMask" is added successfully, and it will automatically switch to the Filecoin mainnet
Click "Connect Wallet"
Select "MetaMask" in the pop-up box and approve adding the network
After the addition is successful, it will automatically switch to the Filecoin-EVM network
Currently, there are different prefixes . The addresses used in the Filecoin-EVM ecosystem start with F4 or 0X. You can view the corresponding addresses in "MetaMask" or "Block Explorer"
To view filecoin deposit (receive) addresses
Transfer assets to Filecoin-EVM
Users can transfer filecoins from other wallets or exchanges to the wallet address
Important: Please ensure that the receiving network is Filecoin-EVM.
